The season 6 of MTN Project Fame West Africa Season 6 is set to hit the airwaves soon starting with the auditions in four African states.


Starting from the 25th of May in Monrovia, Liberia, auditions will be held in Benin, Abuja, Illorin, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Ibadan and Lagos from the 8th of June 2013 in Nigeria.

Requirements for the audition include;
- Send name and location to 35850 (from an MTN line – SMS costs N100)

A report released Monday by the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization reminds us that there are more than 1,900 edible insect species on Earth, hundreds of which are already part of the diet in many countries.

In fact, some two billion people eat a wide variety of insects regularly, both cooked and raw; only in Western countries does the practice retain an "ick" factor among the masses.

Why eat something that we usually swat away or battle with insecticides? For starters, many insects are packed with protein, fiber, good fats, and vital minerals—as much or more than many other food sources.

with a variety of bizarre names.
Officials working for the country's births, deaths and marriages
department have updated the list of names they have rejected since
2001.
Two New Zealanders recently wanted to register their child's birth
with a backslash separating two names, but were told it would
contravene strict rules on what monikers are considered acceptable.
Also rejected were Majesty, Queen Victoria, and Knight as they break
the rules that prohibit anything that implies a title.

*Bizarre* British deputy speaker of parliament (55) arrested for raping another man

A deputy speaker of Britain's lower house of Parliament was arrested
Saturday on suspicion of raping one man and sexually assaulting
another, according to media reports.
Nigel Evans, a lawmaker in Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservative
Party, was reportedly questioned over the alleged attacks on two men
in their 20s.
Evans, 55, represents the Ribble Valley constituency in Lancashire,
northwest England, and is one of the three deputy speakers of the
House of Commons.
"A 55-year-old man from Pendleton in Lancashire has today, Saturday, .
. . been arrested by Lancashire Constabulary on suspicion of rape and
sexual assault," the local police force said in a statement.
A spokes woman for the force later said the suspect had been released
on bail until June 19.
Police said the alleged attacks took place in the village of
Pendleton, where Evans lives, between July 2009 and March 2013.
Cameron has reportedly been informed of the arrest.
Evans revealed he was gay in 2010, eight years after he was elected to
Parliament, saying he was "tired of living a lie." He is a popular
figure in London's Westminster political hub, well-liked by lawmakers
across the political spectrum.
His arrest stunned fellow Conservatives. "Everybody's completely
shell-shocked," Michael Ranson, chairman of the Ribble Valley
Conservative Association, told Sky News television. "He is a very
popular MP (member of Parliament)."
Brian Binley, a Conservative lawmaker and a friend of Evans, said: "I
was just deeply disturbed and shocked. I consider him to be a very
good friend. I know him to be caring, compassionate and in no way
would he inflict himself violently on any other person."
As a deputy speaker, Evans has the authority to stand in for the
speaker of Parliament, who is tasked with keeping order during
debates.
The Welsh lawmaker also served as a vice chairman of the Conservative
Party between 1999 and 2001, and was its spokesman on affairs
pertaining to Wales for two years after that.
When he came out of the closed in 2010, Evans claimed that political
opponents had threatened to reveal his secret.
"I could not afford it to be used as leverage against me. I couldn't
take the risk. I don't want any other MP to face that kind of
nastiness again," he told The Mail on Sunday newspaper. "I am sure
there are other gay MPs who would like to be open about their
sexuality but are fearful of the consequences."

Chris Brown OFFICIALLY announces that He has broken up with Rihanna again

Chris Brown's and Rihanna 's love has hit another sour note. Rather
than let the rumor mill run rampant for too long, Breezy confirmed to
Australia's Kyle & Jackie O show Sunday (May 5) that he and Rihanna
have split (again). Speaking about his birthday, Brown announced that
he'd be celebrating as a single man. "I really wanna see as many girls
as possible," he said. "I'm do[this birthday] solo. At the end of the
day, shorty [Rihanna's] doing her thing, she on the road.
"It's always gon' be love but I'ma do me. I'm a grown man so I just
gotta' walk forward."
The 24-year-old didn't go too deep into detail but from the sounds of
it, the relationship's end may have been spearheaded by Rihanna, which

she [Rihanna's] a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing
somebody that young…and I'm young too, so I can't focus on that right
now. I just gotta step forward and be a man, and be the best Chris

Now that he's single, the "Fine China" crooner hasn't wasted much time
getting back into the swing of things. He celebrated hisbirthday in
Los Angeles and Las Vegas over the weekend, re-linking with
ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, who partied with the Virginia native
on Friday (May 3) night.

Rihanna's hasn't yet responded toBrown's interview, but since the
25-year-old's health is on the mend, her focus is likely on finishing
up the Diamonds World Tour, which rolled into New York City last

*Bizarre* Police bust couple having sex on public beach

Police in Florida said they arrested a couple making out on a public
beach. According to UPI.com, the Manalapan Police Department said they
responded to a report of a couple having sex on a public beach and
they arrived to find Ward Powell, 53, of Boynton Beach, and Tanya
Wheeler, 34, of Greenville, S.C., still nude, the South Florida
Sun-Sentinel reported Thursday. Powell told officers he and Wheeler
had been skinny dipping in the ocean and "one thing led to another."
The man told police he was unable to help himself. Powell and Wheeler
were arrested and charged with with lewd behavior and indecent
exposure, New Times Broward-Palm Beach reported.
