Vatican: Pope Benedict to Adopt the Title 'Pontiff Emeritus' After Retirement Will Keep His White Cassock but Give Back Red Shoes

In the two weeks since Benedict's resignation announcement, Vatican
officials had suggested that Benedict would resume wearing the
traditional black garb of a cleric and would use the title 'emeritus
bishop of Rome' so as to not create confusion with the future pope.
Benedict's decision to call himself emeritus pope and to keep wearing
white will fan concern voiced privately by some cardinals about the
awkward reality of having two popes living within the Vatican walls.
Adding to the concern is the fact that Benedict's trusted secretary,
Monsignor Georg Gaenswein, will be serving both pontiffs - living with
Benedict at a monastery inside the Vatican and working in the new
Pope's household.
Benedict has made it clear he is retiring to a lifetime of prayer and
meditation 'hidden from the world'
However, he still will be very present in the tiny Vatican city-state,
where his new home is right next door to the Vatican Radio and has a
view of the dome of St Peter's Basilica.
In the absence of his red shoes, Benedict has taken a liking to a pair
of hand-crafted brown loafers made for him by artisans in Leon,
Mexico, and given to him during his 2012 visit.
Mr Lombardi also elaborated on the College of Cardinals meetings that
will take place after the papacy becomes vacant - crucial gatherings
in which cardinals will discuss the problems facing the church and set
a date for the startof the conclave to elect Benedict's successor.
The first meeting is not expected until Monday, since the official
convocation to cardinals to come to Rome will only go out on Friday-
the first day of what's known as the 'sede vacante,' or the vacancy
between papacies.
In all, 115 cardinals under the ageof 80 are expected in Rome for the
conclave to vote on who should become the next pope.

Benedict on tuesday gave the cardinals the go-ahead to move up the
start date of the conclave, abolishing the traditional 15-day waiting
period.
Mr Lombardi also further described Benedict's final 48 hours as Pope.
On Tuesday, he was packing, arranging for documents to be sent to the
various archives at the Vatican and separating out the personal papers
he will take with him into retirement.
On Wednesday, Benedict held his final public general audience in St
Peter's Square - an event that has already seen 50,000 ticket
requests.
On Thursday, the Pope meets with his cardinals in the morning and then
flies by helicopter at 5pm to Castel Gandolfo, the papal residence
south of Rome. He will greet parishioners there from the palazzo's
loggia - his final public act as pope.
At 8pm, the exact time at which his retirement becomes official, the
Swiss Guards standing outside the doors of the palazzo at Castel
Gandolfo will go off duty, their service protecting the head of the
Catholic Church now finished.

Caught on CCTV: A Sex Attacker Jumps into a Woman's Car and Sexually Assaults Her on Knife Point.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was said to be about to drive away from
the forecourt of a Shell petrol station when the man opened the
passenger door and got into her grey 4x4.
He forced the woman to drive to a nearby residential road in Luton,
Bedfordshire, and sexually assaulted her for around 15 minutes Daily
Mail reports.
The woman managed to sound her car horn and turn on an interior light
while trying to fight off the attacker.
After the assault she drove home and contacted the police.
Detectives from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit
have yesterday released CCTV images of the attacker getting into the
car.
Reports say the attacker had already tried to force his way into
another woman's car just moments earlier.
Detective Inspector Ruth Dodsworth, warned motorists to lock their car
doors when they are sat stationary.
She said 'This was a terrifying experience for this lady to have to
deal with yet she showed extreme bravery in fighting off her attacker
and raising the alarm.
'We have spoken with another woman who we have confirmed was
approached by this same man two minutes before this incident, she had
her car door locked so he was unable to gain entry to her vehicle.'
'I would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to anyone who
was in the area around the petrol station in Poynters Road to get in
touch - In particular, were you the jogger who ran past the Shell
petrol station at 6.52pm? You could have information vital to this
investigation.
'Likewise, I'd like to hear from anyone who saw the dark grey 4x4
vehicle parked in Tomlinson Avenue to make contact with the police as
soon as possible.'

37 Year Old Woman Raped Through by Uncle Finally Speaks Out After The Uncle is Finally Jailed for 16 Years

Tina Rogers was just 11 years old when her uncle began raping her on a
weekly basis at her grandparents' home, while her family laughed and
joked downstairs oblivious to what was happening.
Finally, more than two decades after the abuse started, 63-year-old
Colin Dunn was jailed for 16 years for sexually assaulting children
over a 50-year period.
Colin Dunn was found guilty of seven offences of rape and two charges
of indecent assault at Burnley Crown Court on February 12.
Dunn told an innocent Tina he was the only one in her family that
loved her before grooming her and forcing her to have sex with him
against her will.
Tina, now 37, was then forced to live with the horror of her abuse
after bravely trying to confide in her father, before being dragged to
apologise to her rapist when her family refused to believe the
allegations 'I went to tell my dad that Colin was touching me. I
wanted to tell him he was having sex with me, but I was scared how he
would react. I said he was touching my bottom.
'Dad went mad. He dragged me up to his house and made me apologise to
Colin's face. My uncle sneered down and me and said he wouldn't do
anything like that to me.
'None of my family would believe me. I could describe his bedroom, but
it didn't matter. No-one would listen.' Tina said.
But his actions soon turned sinister, as he encouraged Tina to spend
more time with him.
She said: 'The first time I remember anything happening was when I was
putting food into the fish tank. He sat on a chair behind me and put
his legs around me, and then he started touching me.
'I was naive, I didn't know what sex was. It didn't occur to me what
he was doing to me was wrong and I believed that he loved me.
'Colin said we would both get into trouble but especially me, so I
didn't say a word. I had sex with him too many times.'
But as Tina got older, she began to realise that her relationship with
Dunn was not what it should be.
She said: 'I was watching TV one night and there was a prostitute on
the screen. My mum said she was dirty. I then realised what was
happening to me was wrong as well.
When she was 21, Tina finally found the courage to report her rapist.
She said: 'I was terrified he was doing what he had done to me to other girls.'
Dunn was arrested and the charges were put to him. But while he was in
police custody, hecollapsed and was taken to hospital.
Police said there wasn't enough evidence against him and Tina was
forced to watch her attacker walk free.
More than a decade after Tina was forced to believe Dunn would never
be convicted of his crimes, he was handed a 32-month sentence after
confessing to attacking five and six-year-old girls he had befriended
close to his home.
He lured the youngsters with toys, Easter eggs and promises to look
after their animals.
Following the conviction in October 2011, Tina's statement was
reviewed and Dunn was finally charged with two counts of rape on her
as a child.

The Good and Bad Side of Electric Razors

Are you thinking of buying a razor (electric or manual), or you have
one already? Maybe you should consider the advantage and disadvantage
of each type of blade you may want to buy.
ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRIC RAZOR
>Electric razors tend to shave hair faster than manual razors. Because they roll up the skin, forcing hairs up before cutting them, men dont need to go over the same area as many times.
> Electric razors are portable, though they are heavier than manual razors, since they can be used anywhere there is an electrical source.
> Special grooming items like shaving cream, soap, gel or even water may not be required when using electric razors.
> Electric razors can be used to accurately to shave facial hair, beards, mustaches, and sideburns.
> Shaving with an electric razor could reduce nicks, cuts and ingrown hairs.
DISADVANTAGES:
> You want your shaving to be super smooth? Electric razors will not shave you as closely as manual razors do, so you may not get a super-smooth finish and you may have to shave more frequently if you have normal-to-heavy facial hair.
> Many men find that using an electrical razor takes practice. Although this type of shaving is considered "safer" than manual shaving, it can still be painful and lead to irritation.
> Although some new models allow electric razors to be used in wet conditions, the majority cannot be used in the shower. Electric razors also tend to be pretty loud.
> They require rechargeable batteries or an electrical outlet. If not properly charged, electrical razors can die in the middle of a shave.
> Electric razors need more attention when it comes to maintenance and cleaning.
> Their initial purchase and upkeep of electric razors are usually more expensive than other forms of shaving, although a quality, long-lasting electric razor can actually save men money over their lifetime.

So, when you want to make decision on the razor to buy, check the pros
and cons and know if you should purchase the electric ones or both

What Smart Guys Should Never do to Win a Woman's Love

You are worried that you cannot attract women despite all your
efforts. You feel that no matter what you do you are not able to set
the right impression and always end up either getting rejected or
dumped. Don't waste your time in envy of guys who are successful with
women, have you tried to find out what you are doing wrong? it might
be of help. Here are some of the most disastrous mistakes that men
make around women:

ACTING LIKE HER SERVANT
You do not know how to think, feel or behave around her and thus end
up looking like a blundering idiot at all times. Women don't
appreciate guys who behave like their slaves and will never hang out
leave alone be with such a person for too long. If you want to be her
servant, why don't you get employment as one. If not, why not get a
grip of yourself and be in control.

APPEARING TOO DESPERATE
One of the worst thing you will do is pestering a woman that shows no
interest in you. When you feel that a woman is not interested in you,
you sit down and begin to "explain" to her and try to convince her why
you should be together. You are giving her more reason for her to walk
away because you are giving her the impression that you are desperate.
You cannot convince a woman to love you. When she says NO, just walk
away.

ALWAYS SEEKING HER APPROVAL
you must not get her approval for everything you do or say just
because you want to please her. You are giving her the impression that
you have no mind of your own and have a very low self esteem. Both are
not attractive qualities.

TRYING TO BUY HER LOVE
The worst thing that you can do is try to buy a woman's affection.
When you do so you send out a signal that you are a manipulative and
insecure person who only uses money to buy what he cannot achieve.
Affection cannot be bought it has to be earned.

EXPRESSING YOUR FEELINGS TOO SOON
You just met her, she agreed to go out with you on a date. You now get
the feeling that she has fallen for you and you just express your
feelings so soon. That is another desperate move. You give her the
impression that you want to tie her down to you as soon as you can and
second, you put unnecessary amount of pressure on her to decide if she
likes you or not. Learn to enjoy the relationship and give her some
space. When the time is right you will know what to do.

BRAGGING
Another extreme is when men begin to brag too much about their
accomplishments and are disrespectful towards women. Being masculine
does not mean being offensive and gross.

Two Men Butcher a Woman,19; Drops her Remains in a Duffel Bag at a Grocery Store

The office of Oklahoma County District Attorney on Monday charged two
men in the death of an Oklahoma woman whose body was found dismembered
in a duffel bag behind a grocery store last year.
Jimmy Massey and Luis Ruiz were being held without bail in the
Oklahoma County Jail. The men were charged with first degree murder in
killing Carina Saunders, who was 19 years old. Her body was discovered
in a duffel bag discovered by animal welfare workers, as they picked
up cats in Bethany, a suburb of Oklahoma City.
The coroner's office said Saunders has died a violent death, but has
not disclosed details.
Massey was already in custody on charges related to drugs. He appears
to be represented by a lawyer in his drug case, Mitch Solomon.
A jailer said he had no information on whether Ruiz had hired a lawyer
to represent him on the murder case.
According to an affidavit, a witness told police in Bethany that
Saunders went to a house in south Oklahoma City, where Ruiz beat
Saunders and tied her up. The witness said Ruiz dragged Saunders into
an upstairs room, tied her to a table and cut off her left leg. She
said he also tried to cut off her right foot, but broke the saw.
That witness jumped out of a window to escape the ordeal, the affidavit said.
Another witness told police someone told her that the murder had been
recorded on a mobile phone. She said she was with Ruiz in a hotel,
looked at his phone while she was in the bathroom, she saw video of
the killing and recognized Ruiz as the person who was cutting the foot
of Saunders, according to the affidavit.
Another statement said that Massey told police she was present when
Saunders died and saw what happened.
But police said she told another jail inmate that she was actually
involved in the murder and provided details only the police and the
coroner's office known.
Bethany Police Chief Phil Cole said the killing of Saunders was tied
to human trafficking, prostitution and a drug gang.

Couple Crash Car into a House While Getting 'Amorous'

A couple crashed their car into a house while getting intimate right
inside the moving vehicle. The Florida Highway Patrol said the driver
lost control of her car while getting"amorous" with her boyfriend and
crashed the vehicle through a vacant house. Patrol spokes woman Kim
Montes said Asia Walker, 30, was at the wheel Friday when her car hit
the house in Daytona Beach, WESH-TV, Orlando, Fla., reported Monday.
Walker was injured by falling debris and taken to Halifax Medical
Center to be checked out; and she was charged for careless driving,
her boyfriend, Charles Phillips, was not hurt, the spokeswoman said.
"She told the investigating trooper that her and the boyfriend were
getting a little amorous and the trooper suspects that's probably why
she lost control of the vehicle," Montes said. Police said the vehicle
went all the way through the unoccupied house, causing major damage.

A Woman Bags Six-year Jail Term for Burying her Child Alive

A Magistrate's Court in Osogbo on Wednesday sentenced a mother of
one, Mrs. Adeola Joseph, 18, to a six-year imprisonment with hard
labour for burying her only child alive for three days, Vanguard
reports.
The court, presided over by Mr. Olusola Aluko, in its ruling, said the
convict was unrepentant of her cruel action and hence, did not deserve
to be in the midst of human beings.
Mrs. Joseph was said to have buried alive her only child, Fatia Nafiu,
at her residence in Ijetu area, off Ilesa -Osogbo Road, Osogbo, in
Osun state.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Mr. Solomon Oladele, Mrs. Joseph
buried her child in the early hours of Monday, February 18, 2012 and
the child was rescued after two days by a good Samaritan, Prophetess
Tunrayo Akinwande, who lives around the area.
Oladele said the intervention of Prophetess Akinwande and other
residents of the area, who exhumed Fatia from the grave and took her
to the hospital, helped to save the innocent two- year-old baby who
was still alive after two days in the grave.
According to the Prosecutor, the convict had through her actions
committed an offence contrary to and punishable under sections 320 (1)
and 509 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol 11, Laws of Osun state of
Nigeria 2003.
The convict, who was arraigned on a three -count charge of attempted
murder, felony and breach of peace pleaded for leniency.
She told the court that her parents were not favourably disposed to
her marriage with the father of her child and she had since been
living alone without assistance, hence her resolve to terminate the
life of the toddler.
The convict also told the court that she decided to kill the baby due
to her decision to relocate to Lagos in search of a job, without
adding the child's responsibility to her own.
It was gathered that the convict had made several attempts to kill the
child before until her last attempt, which landed her in jail.

Jilted Lover Shoots Ex-girlfriend and Family Members in Lagos

On saturday, february 16th, a 27-year-old man (name withheld), stormed
the home of miss Katherine Ijedinma and gunned down everyone.
The man, a native of Imo State, visited the homes of Mr and Mrs Henry
Ekene Ozor and that of Mr and Mrs Odia at Igando, Lagos, at night and
shot his victims in cold blood over his relationship with Sandra,
Katherine's twin sister which her parents did not approve of. Lying on
her hospital add, the thought of the incident that led to the brutal
killing of at least seven family members gave the young lady of 24, a
frightful look.
Narrating her experience, Katherine said: "We were at home when a man
jumped the fence into the compound. Everyone was shouting Ole! Ole!
(thief, thief). I checked and it was the guy that was dating my twin
sister and he was carrying a gun. I was asking him what are you doing
here and he asked us to go inside, I was carrying my aunt's baby. "He
said I was the one that asked my twin sister not to marry him.
I told him that I wasn't the one but before I knew what was happening,
he asked me to raise my clothes up that he wanted to shoot at my
belly. Fearfully, I lifted my clothes up. He aimed the gun at me and
as he was about shooting, I jumped up and I didn't know what happened
again." Waking up on the hospital bed, Katherine saw that it was her
thigh that the bullet hit. According to her, the man carried a big
gun, aimed at her stomach and shot.
On who the alleged killer was, Katherine said: "I don't know how my
twin sister met the guy but all I know is that they were friends and
the guy lived in Warri, Delta State." Right now, Katherine, who is
grateful to God that the suspect didn't kill her doesn't even know
that her twin, two elder sisters and children whom the man later shot
are in the morgue. Also, the world of Mr Ozor has suddenly collapsed
with the gruesome murder of his eight-month pregnant wife, elder
sister to Katherine and others.
Since the incident, Ozor said he had not eaten any food except water.
Ozor, who described the whole scene as terrible, said he had never
seen anything like that before. "They said my wife tried to run away
but this man pursued her and shot thrice at her. I have been trying to
transfer the corpses, but it is not easy. I don't know how I manage to
do all the work that I do, going from one ward to the other to attend
to them and to other places. It is only by God's strength.
"I have refused to think about the whole scenario because I don't know
where to start from. Right now the aged parents of the deceased in
Igbodo, Delta State, are yet to be notified on the death of their
three children and four grandchildren. The suspected killer, whose
first point of call was the Ozors, shot Sandra, his girlfriend;
Katherine, his girl friend's twin sister; Mrs Ozor, Sandra's elder
sister; Mrs. Ozor's first daughter, Happiness and second daughter,
Bethel.
While others died on the spot, Katherine and Bethel survived and were
rushed to an undisclosed hospital. Three-year-old Miss Victory was
spared. After that, the killer went to the home of the Odias and
killed Mrs Ngozi Odia, eldest sister to the girlfriend and her three
children including Angela, 12; Chidinma, 10 and Chinenye, eight years
old. The suspect is still on the run but since then he has allegedly
been threatening Mr. Ozor through calls.

How to Make Your Eyelashes Thicker and Longer

Are you worried because your eyelashes are short and thin? Or they
are too blond or light, do not worry. Many women are in your
condition, Millions of women every day spend a part of their grooming
getting those eyelashes to work it. You want your eyelashes to be
thick, long and beautiful without using fake ones. Then the following
tips will help you achieve just that:

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. First make sure your eyelashes are clean and free from any mascara.
Then get your eyelashes curler and put it to the root of your lashes,
and hold it. If you use your curler with mascara on it, you will be
breaking your lashes and losing more hair. Be careful you don't pinch
your skin. You can do this several times until you feel they are curl
enough.

2. Now take your favorite mascara and pull out the brush.
When you pull out the brush make sure to take the excess
mascara from the tip, this will help you not get clumps in your
lashes. Put the brush at the roots of your lashes and do a quick back
and forth with the brush, this will cause the roots to look thicker
also the mascara will divide the lashes from the roots. Then move the
brush up until they have reached the tips. Make sure to do it slow and
all the way to the tips, this will help the lashes curl
and stay curled. Do this until the entire eyelash is covered
with mascara.

3. Before the mascara dries and before you move on the next eyelash,
grab your eyelash comb and start at the middle of your eyelashes and
comb up. This will help you get any clumps out of the way and make the
lashes look cleaner all the way to the tip. This will give you a long,
thick and beautiful look to your eyelashes.

POINTS TO NOTE:
- If you have blood eyelashes, black
mascara will be best for you.
- If your lashes are very very thin, I also recommend using
mascara at the bottom lashes too.
- If you want to give your lashes a darker, thicker look you can also
use an eyeliner pencil or a liquid one.
- After your first coat of mascara wait a few second and put on
another one for a more thicker darker result. Keep playing with
different coats until you reach the desired look.
- Do not bleach your eyelashes.
- Do not use the eyelashes curler with mascara it will
destroy them.

One sick person in office can contaminate half of the workplace by lunchtime

When an ill colleague turns up to work coughing and sneezing, it
really is better if they stay at home, such is the speed that germs
spread around an office, a new study suggests.
Scientists at the University of Arizona have discovered that when even
one person comes to work sick, more than half of the commonly touched
surfaces in the office will become infected with the virus by
lunchtime, the Daily Mail reported.
Some of the likeliest germ hotpots include telephones, desktops,
tabletops, doorknobs, photocopier and lift buttons and the office
fridge.
However, the study also revealed that simple interventions, such as
hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser or wipes, can drastically
reduce employees' risk of infection.
Conducted in an office, the study included about 80 participants, some
of whom received droplets on their hands at the start of a normal work
day.
While most of those droplets were plain water, one person unknowingly
received a droplet containing artificial viruses mimicking the cold,
the flu and a stomach bug.
Employees were instructed to go about their day as usual. After about
four hours, researchers sampled commonly touched surfaces in the
office, as well as employees' hands, and found that more than 50
percent of surfaces and employees were infected with at least one of
the viruses.
"We were actually quite surprisedby how effectively everything spread.
I didn't expect to find it as much as I did," Kelly Reynolds, UA
associate professor of public health at the university said.
And that was in an office environment where people work primarily in
isolated spaces, she added.
Researchers swabbed surfaces and hands again at the end of the work
day. By then, the cold and flu viruses, known for their short survival
time, had dissipated, but the stomach virus had continued to spread,
infecting up to 70 percent of surfaces tested.
Although the cold and flu germs had died off by the day's end, risk to
employees was still high since little exposure is necessary to make
someone sick, Reynolds said.
The researchers calculated that employees faced a 40 to 90 percent

Walkout Exercise Better Than Gym

If you have just been to the gym, don't sit down, not for too long anyway.
Scientists have found that long periods of walking could actually be
better for you than high intensity exercise.
Low intensity exercise improves insulin sensitivity and blood lipid
levels at a better rate than an hourlong high octane workout,
according to a study published in journal PLOS ONE.

These levels are indicators of diabetes and obesity.
Researchers from Maastricht University in Holland, split 18 youngsters
aged 19 to 24 into three groups - one sat for 14 hours doing no
exercise, the second sat for 13 hours but did an hour of vigorous
exercise, and the final group sat for six hours, walked for four and
stood for two.
It was found that when energy expended was the same, cholesterol and
lipid levels were significantly improved in the group that exercised
over a longer period, far more than in the other two groups.
Dr Hans Savelberg, from Maastricht University in Holland, who led the
study, said: 'One hourof daily physical exercise cannot compensate for
the negative effects of inactivity on insulin sensitivity and plasma
lipids if the rest of the day is spent sitting.
'Reducing inactivity by low intensity activities such as walkingat a
leisurely pace and standing is more effective than physical exercise
in improving these parameters in sedentary subjects.
'Our study suggests that in addition to health interventions that
stress the importance of spending enough energy to maintain a neutral
energy balance,a minimal daily amount of non-sitting time should also
be promoted.

A 22-year Old Man Found Guilty of Raping 14-year Old girl

Mr David Edgerton was found guilty after admitting to kidnapping and
raping a 14-year old girl.
According to Daily Mail, at around 4.30pm mr Edgerton approached a
13-year-old girl, who was sitting on the steps of the village
community centre and asked her for directions to the Prince of Wales
pub.
She refused to accompany him there and Edgerton left when a male
friend of the girl's arrived to meet her.
However, less than two hours later another schoolgirl, aged 14, who
cannot be named for legal reasons, was not so lucky.
John Philpotts, prosecuting, told the court: 'The defendant had seen
the girl at the chip shop, asked her to show him where the Prince of
Wales pub was, and, as they walked in the village he held her tightly,
grabbed her hair, and threatened her not to raise the alarm.
'He dragged her into Blast Woods where she was raped.
'Despite her ordeal, she was able to send messages which said 'help'
and 'raping me' from her mobile phone onto the Facebook site of her
sister. She got messages to her family to try and explain where she
was. But although the messages alerted her mother and sister, who
eventually discovered her collapsed by the roadside, they were too
late to stop her terrifying ordeal.
Judge Merfyn Hughes criticised the police and Crown Prosecution
Service after it emerged they had missed three chances to catch her
attacker, David Edgerton, in the months leading up to the rape.
David Edgerton, 22, a heroin addict, was found guilty of the abduction
and rape of a 14-year-old girl along with a number of other offences
and will be sentenced next month.

10 Makeup Mistakes That Will Make You Look Older

1. LETTING FOUNDATIONS SETTLE INTO FINE LINES

Think you're hiding wrinkles by piling on the foundation? Excess
makeup just exaggerates wrinkles, so don't pile foundations thinking
you are hiding wrinkles.
The fix: After applying your foundation with a brush, take a damp
makeup sponge and gently press it all over your face. This removes any
foundation that has settled into lines, and creates a soft finish.

2. SKIPPING EYELINER

Even if your Saturday nights no longer end on Sunday mornings, you
don't need to start ditching eye makeup. As we age, our eyes start to
droop at the outer corners and liner and mascara can do wonders. Fake
a lifted look by lining your upper lashes with black pencil, making
the line a bit thicker at the outer corners. Next, curl your lashes
and add a few coats of mascara, straight lashes may make lids appear
hooded.

3. NOT EXFOLIATING

The older we get, the longer it takes for dead skin cells to slough
off. This leads to a dull skin. But giving yourself a youthful glow is
as simple as using an at-home glycolic peel once or twice a week. It
will make any anti-aging products you are using penetrate better.

4. WEARING THE WRONG LIPSTICK

Metallic or iridescent lipstick finishes may look pretty on the
runway, but they don't work after 40.

5. BLUNT HAIRCUTS

Most of our favorite over-40 stars have layered haircuts and there's a
reason for that. All-one-length looks tend to draw the eyes down and
therefore make your face look droopy. Instead, ask your stylist to cut
some layers. This brings all the focus to your great cheekbones.

6. NEGLECTING YOUR HANDS

Why spend all that time saving face when your hands tell the world
your real age? Once every two weeks, buff the backs of your hands with
the same microdermabrasion product you would use on your face.
7. NOT USING SUNSCREEN
If you may forget to floss occasionally, never be caught forgetting to
apply sunscreen. Season: Nearly all wrinkles and fine lines are due to
sun exposure, so skip sunscreen in the morning and you're basically
asking for it.

8. WEARING FROSTY EYE SHADOW

Metallic and frosted eye shadow look too harsh and highlight fine
lines. Instead, look for shadows that have a subtle sheen when they
hit the light not a full-on sparkle fest.

9. LOADING UP ON BRONZER

Everyone wants to look like they just spent the weekend
relaxing on the beach. But faking it can just make you look
older, because the yellow and brown bases of bronzer give
skin a dull appearance. Instead of brushing it all over,
create a halo effect by dusting only your hairline, cheekbones, and
jawline. Avoid putting it around your eyes, nose, and mouth darkness
in these
areas can be aging.

10. GETTING OVERZEALOUS WITH YOUR CONCEALER

Applying concealer with a heavy hand can end up looking almost as bad
as letting your dark circles show. The secret: Tap a very smallbrush
into a liquid concealer and pat it under your eyes, focusing most of
the color at the inner corners, where discoloration is usually the
worst. Then blend it well in a crescent-moon shape under the eyes.
When you're done, set it with a little loose powder

Pope Benedict XVI Announces His Resignation

After nearly eight years as the spiritual head of the Catholic Church,
Pope Benedict XVI shocked the Vatican City by announcing his
resignation. According to India Times, the head of Roman Catholic
Church — on Monday announced he will resign on February 28, a Vatican
spokesman told AFP, which will make him the first pope to do so in
centuries.
"The pope announced that he will leave his ministry at 8pm (1900 GMT)
on February 28," said the spokesman, Federico Lombardi.
Read below the details of his resignation speech:
Dear Brothers,
I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three
canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great
importance for the life of the Church.
After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come
to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no
longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry . I am
well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature,
must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with
prayer and suffering.
However, in today's world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken
by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to
govern the bark of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength
of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months,
has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my
incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.
For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with
full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome,
Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April
2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours,
the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave
to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those
whose competence it is.
Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work
with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for
all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of
Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother
Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal
solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself,
I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future
through a life dedicated to prayer.
From the Vatican, 10 February 2013.

Mom Arrested for Smuggling Drugs to Her Son in Jail with open-mouth kiss

50 cent to Feature in a Nollywood Movie

American rapper, 50 Cent could be featured in a Nollywood flick. The
movie which would be produced and directed by Emeka Ike is believed to
be a spin off of the actor's involvement with the training of
ex-militants from the Niger Delta, a project he is so dedicated to,
Information Nigeria reports. "This is a big one for Nollywood. As you
read this, plans have been concluded to bring 50 Cent to Nigeria to
feature in a new movie. And guess what? He would be starring alongside
Nigerian big names including ex-militants who have renounced violence
for peace. The ex-militants underwent special training in acting,
cinematography and the basics of filmmaking and production under Emeka
Ike in Ghana.
This is the first of such films; many more are on the way. The
objective is to practically demonstrate how movies could be used as a
tool for empowering restive Nigerian youths," a source close to Ike
states. The source further said that work on the movie which will
feature the G-unit boss will begin before the end of the first quarter
of this year.

20 Years Old Woman Burnt Alive For Killing a Boy With Witchcraft

The horrible scene took place in the village of Paiala, in the
highlands of Papua New Guinea where it is believe by many that
witchcraft exists and sorcery is used to kill enemies.
The tragedy unfolded after Miss Leniata's young neighbour fell sick on
Tuesday morning. He complained of pains in the stomach and chest and
was taken to Mt Hagen hospital where he died a few hours later, Daily
Mail reported.
Suspecting that witchcraft was involved in the boy's death, relatives
of the boy learned that two women had gone into hiding in the jungle.
They went after the women and tracked them down. The women admitted
they practised sorcery but denied having anything to do with the
boy's death. Rather, they accused Miss Leniata as being responsible.
The boy's family reportedly went to her hut at 7am on Wednesday.
Kepari Leniata, 20, 'confessed' after she was dragged from her hut,
stripped naked and tortured with white-hot iron rods.
She was then dragged to a local rubbish dump, doused in petrol and,
with hands and feet bound, thrown on a fire of burning tyres. As the
mother-of-two screamed in agony, more petrol-soaked tyres were thrown
on top of her.
Police who rushed to the area were turned back by the angry crowd, but
were able to drive away with one of the other women while the second
has fled.
Papua New Guinean police have launched a murder investigation and are
reportedly preparing charges against those responsible.
The country's Prime Minister Peter O'Neill has sworn to bring the
killers to justice, as he addressed the matter in a statement today.
'No one commits such a despicable act in the society that all of us,
including Kepari, belong to,' he said.
